I am a passionate musician who loves to share music through performing and teaching. I have been studying the violin privately for over nine years. Over the years I have furthered my music training under talented instructors through different programs including involvement in orchestras, chamber groups, camps, and competitions. I am classically trained, but also have experience playing in the fiddle style, pop, contemporary worship, and classical crossover.
When I began taking lessons at the age of eight, I was trained using the Suzuki method, and continued with it for the first five years of my training. I then began taking lessons from child prodigy and world-class performing violinist, Dylana Jenson. From there I was instructed using the traditional style of learning. I continued my training for many years before exploring teaching. I have been instructing children for the last few years, and am pursuing Suzuki certification.
At present, I have found great joy in sharing my violin skills through not only teaching privately, but also providing music for weddings and similar gigs, playing on my church's worship team, and performing for friends and family.
I am passionate about many things in addition to music. I love studying ballet, hanging out with friends, cooking, reading novels, volunteering at church, and traveling. I am a recent high school graduate and am taking some time off of school before pursuing a degree in communications. I have grown up in West Michigan, and currently live in Walker, Michigan with my family. I work for Calvary Building Services, LLC as an office assistant, in addition to teaching violin. I love working with children and sharing my love for music with them.
Music is meant to be shared, and I decided to start teaching because I found that it is such a special way to share it. As I have been able to teach and perform, it has only grown my desire for others to love it in the same way I do. I find great joy in working with kids, and I consider it a privilege to pass my musical knowledge on to the next generation through private violin lessons.
